The 2017/18 prime series skis are the first of their kind

A culmination of over a decade of innovation and materials research, we've finally created a true high-performance lightweight big mountain ski that excels in all conditions and at any speed. Developed in Switzerland with the expertise of Mountain Guide and FWT Athlete Sam Anthamatten, we have crafted an impossibly perfect balance of precision engineering, high-tech materials and progressive shapes never before seen in skiing.

Featuring revolutionary TeXtreme carbon composites, Bcomp hybrid balsa/flax lightweight cores, proprietary multi-dimension sidecuts and generous tip and tail rocker, this is performance without compromise.

Sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold while the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, adding durability to the fragile join that can be prone to chipping.

Technology

Balsa/Flax Core

Natural flax fibers reinforce the strong and light balsa, resulting in a lively, yet damp, core that out performs those twice the weight.

Multi-Dimension Sidecut

The short radius up front enables you to turn when and where you want, while the longer radii further back ensure stability and power when charging fast. nothing will be holding you back.

Textreme Carbon

TeXtreme® is based on spreading tows (yarns) to create ultralight and ultrathin woven fabrics which improve impact performance while reducing weight when compared to conventional woven carbon fiber fabrics.

Sam was after the Holy Grail – a ski that is light enough to tour up 1,500m, but burly enough to rip lines skiing down.

The Prime Series is what results when you put a design engineer and FWT athlete/UIAGM guide Sam Anthamatten in the same room and give them a blank sheet of paper to design their ultimate ski.
